Episode 125 - Bonus Episode: Walmart’s Anti-Union Training Video (And Our Reactions)
Want to hear two self-made assholes heckle a union-busting video? Produced by the wealthiest store in the world, and shot by exhausted employees?
Created in the 90’s. Filmed in the Walmart stock-rooms. And possibly performed by actual Wal-Mart workers. This anti-union training video has it all: cheesy intro music, terrible propaganda (which we debunk using national statistics and public tax information) and narrators who seem wayyy too happy to be working for minimum wage.
When we first recorded our candid reactions to this training video, the resulting segment ended up being too long to include in last week’s podcast “The Secret To Utilizing People As A Resource - Part 2”. But there’s no reason we can’t release it on its own, as a podcast mini-episode. Especially while we’re hard at work this week writing you the next installment of The Re-Engineered You. So please enjoy this tart little slice of corporate hypocrisy, with a pinch of salt and a shot of tequila on the side.
