Episode 111 - The Truth About Democrat and Republican Moral Foundations (Bonus Episode!)
Tucker Carlson and Bill Maher both argue that the other party is immoral. But what if the parties don’t share the same fundamental morals…?
What originally started as a side-tangent during our episode about parties has become relevant in the light of the Capital Riot heirings. So today we’re airing a discussion between Todd and Joe about Moral Foundations Theory. We’re looking into the possibility that when liberals and conservatives accuse each other of acting like monsters - of behaving immoral - perhaps they’re starting from a place of fundamental misunderstanding. Perhaps we don’t share the same cornerstone morals in the first place.
How could democrats and republicans ever reach across the aisle if they don’t share moral foundations? We’ll answer that, too, on this bonus episode.
